Tasting Notes
A comforting aroma of coconut oil, sweet toffee, lemon balm, rummy fudge honey and passion fruit gelees greeted the panel. On the palate neat a milky, sweet flavour of melted vanilla and hazelnut chocolate ice cream with a teasing hint of spice, cinnamon and nutmeg. After dilution love hearts, fruit flavoured fizzy sweets, as well as peppermint creams and lemon drizzle cake appeared on the nose, while to taste lovely clean, fresh and fruity like a melon medley made up of cubes of honeydew, watermelon and cantaloupe. Following eleven years in an ex-bourbon barrel, we transferred this whisky into a heavy toasted medium charred 2nd fill hogshead.
