Tasting Notes
At natural strength, the nose was a melange of peach, guava, plum tart, tinned mandarins and cherry stones – all sweetly swathed in a swirl of custard and buttery pastry, with hints of stem ginger. The palate was intensely sweet – nectarines, mango and pineapple were balanced by toffee and caramel sweets, icing sugar and coconut fudge – then very faint leather on the finish. Adding water brought butterscotch instant mousse, candied orange dipped in dark chocolate and a perfumed handbag to the nose, while the palate now enjoyed a fruity blast of gummy sweets, fruit leathers, blackcurrant chews and totally tropical pineapple and grapefruit pop.
