Tasting Notes
The flattering aromas of jasmine, honeysuckle, sweet vanilla, lemon sherbet, grape juice and orange blossom as well as hot buttered scones with strawberry jam pleased us all. So did the palate; soft, silky, subtle like orchard blossom, juicy tropical fruits melding with zesty citrus and a hint of oaky spiciness; just like a Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. With a tiny drop of water, kiwi vanilla cupcakes with a buttercream frosting as well as a dusting of fresh herbs developed in time. The taste was a real delight, old and venerable, but at the same time, sweet and juicy with a long, fascinating gooseberry like tartness in the finish.
