With breath-taking views over the waters if the Firth of Forth, 28 Queen Street is an impressive four-storey Georgian building, comprising of a suite of modern and elegant rooms. Our recently refurbished Members’ Room takes pride of place along with 3 function rooms available for both members and non-members to privately hire.
Each of our bars boast over 500 exclusive single malts from across Scotland (and beyond), which can be paired with the finest craft beers, artisanal spirits, cocktails and wines. Our range of menus are available to take you from a light bar snack, seasonal light lunch to our gastronomic 5 course taster menu.
PLEASE NOTE: The Dining Room at 28 Queen Street closed in December 2019 - dining reservations for members, will be in one of our member lounges,, dining for non members will be in our Kaleidoscope Bar.
28 Queen Street also hosts a busy programme of colourful whisky tasting experiences, Outturn previews, one-off whisky events and masterclasses – there’s something for everyone.

Montreal style BAGELS with New York Deli inspired fillings? Yes please! In the month of August, we celebrate Game-changing food pairings, we thought what better to do than a collaboration with the massively popular Bross Bagels! During this tasting we will sample 3 mini bagels packed with flavoursome fillings, and of course pair each with SMWS whiskies! We will also be lucky enough to have the owner of Bross bagels join us for this tasting, Larah came from Montreal, the bagel capital of the world that always gets overlooked by the other bagel capital of the world, New York. Instead of complaining about the lack of bagels this country had to offer - she decided to do something about it.

You will be amazed how the finest of Scottish produce is transformed into exquisite and delicious food. Prepared by Head chef James Freeman and his team this game-changing 5 course menu showcases traditional and modern cooking techniques, we offer you the perfect harmony on a plate and in a glass with each course expertly paired with SMWS whisky.
Italian charcuterie pairing 20/08/21
Bringing together a perfectly paired combination of food and whisky isn’t just a way of ensuring you don’t end up with clashing flavours. It’s a process that allows you to heighten both the flavours of the food you’re eating and the character and tasting notes of the whisky you’re drinking. It’s a sensory journey. We are going to be exploring flavoursome world of charcuterie with Alberto Ruggeri owner of Bacco, this is a local, young and vibrant company dedicated charcuterie and wine from privately owned, independent producers from various regions of Italy. This tasting includes 4 whiskies and 4 charcuterie samples.
Whisky and Oysters: The OysterMan 27/08/21
An unforgettable and game-changing food and drink pairing is one in which the most cherished elements of each are enhanced by the other. We believe Freshly shuck Oysters and Whisky form the highest expression of such. The Oysterman Ferran, a professional oyster shucker will join us for this six-dram tasting and enjoy freshly shuck oysters with a choice of five different seasonings; freshly squeezed lemon juice ,tabasco, raspberry gin, Japanese ponzu sauce, a grind of white pepper or raw (for the purists!)
