Tasting Notes
The nose was slightly unusual – not the vanilla custard, cereal notes, fruit pastes or white pepper and candied fennel seed warmth, but hair styling wax and eucalyptus muscle rub raised eyebrows. The neat palate had vibrant, zesty sour lemon and red chilli heat dancing on our tongues – hints of banana, white chocolate and Madeira cake too, but mostly just impressive calefaction. Water made the nose lighter and more floral – lilies, candy floss, Softmints, plum jam etc. The palate also improved considerably – chalky mint sweets, blueberry cupcakes, mild lemon and more complex and subtle medicinal notes of camphor and Deep Heat.
