Tasting Notes
Wonderful warming and comforting aromas: marshmallows, cinnamon swirls, coffee and walnut cake, as well as bourbon cream biscuits, butterscotch, shortbread and fudge. These were followed seamlessly on the palate neat by Turkish delight and a pavlova with melon and basil coulis. Wait for the surprise finish though, coming practically from nowhere with a real spiciness of chilli and pepper like a chipotle bagel to make our mouths tingle. Quickly calmed by a drop of water, the scent was fruity and floral as well as fresh – like French pine-sap candies. To taste, an iced coffee laced with cream liqueur.
