Tasting Notes

The orchard slumbered beneath a honeyed sky, its breath sweet with green apple jelly and pears poached in cider. Oak cups of apple wine rested on polished mahogany, while fruit jelly sweets whispered dreams of satsuma and marzipan. Apricot nectar and nectarine lullabies soothed the silky palate, where elderflower and sandalwood melted into syruped serenity. With water, orange oil drifted in on wafts of fragrant meadows and vanilla cream, as beeswax candles flickered in a haze of saison beer and potpourri. Manzanilla sherry kissed the lips like a bedtime story before the finish exhaled with toasted coconut, grapefruit, champagne jelly and soft fruit blossoms. Falling asleep in a hammock strung between two fruit trees, the world was held gently in blossom-scented stillness.
