Tasting Notes

The nose began with an amalgamation of lavender, apricots and tomatoes with Brazil nuts, peanut biscuits and dry, autumnal twigs. However the flavours exploded with the first sip as a burst of juicy fruits arrived on a sweet and biscuity base. Apple crumble complemented by vanilla custard merged with ginger biscuits and treacle-covered banana split. Water enhanced the soft fruits as apples and pears bonded to satsumas, tinned pineapple and strawberry jam. Nutty notes continued but with fudge and candy floss before the palate delivered ginger snaps, milk chocolate digestive biscuits and porridge with honey. Finally, a sprinkling of demerara sugar covered sweet red apples and cloves joined cherry brandy at the end.
