Tasting Notes
The aroma which greeted us was delicate, sweet, exotic floral notes of white butterfly ginger lilies and orchids, as well as lemongrass. Wow, it packed a punch on the palate neat, like the British Asian dish phall – a curry made with habanero or Scotch bonnet peppers, once described as "more pain and sweat than flavour". We reached for the water and on the nose, even with the aftereffect of the taste neat, the scent of pear drops, linseed oil, bison grass, almonds and honeydew melon was delightful. On the palate, a golden beer, slightly hoppy with a slightly sour tang, and a subtle citrus note in the finish.
